Pastor Eggert was our Sunday School teacher when we first attended Starkey Rd. Baptist church (before serving in the student ministry.) I remember his great love for God's word and for those in his class. I also remember Pastor Eggert was quite a stickler for correctly singing congregational hymns. He would sometimes stop the song to make a correction. I am very grateful for his combined love for God and his love for great hymns of the faith. We need more Pastor Eggerts to take up the mantel for strong theological hymns sung in church. I can only imagine his great joy to now be joining the eternal songs of praise at the throne of God. Keith Eggert was my friend for many years at Starkey Road Baptist Church where we worked in the office together. He was a great teacher and a wonderful counselor. My favorite memory is when he'd play the Laughing Song and turn it up real loud. He was an amazing person - and still is. I can't wait to see him again.

I loved the joy he had when playing the piano for his children and grandchildren to sing
His Wednesday Night bible studies gave us a seminary education with practical appreciation
He had a wonderful sense of humor and I loved to try to make him laugh
The wisdom he shared with me is priceless
One favorite memory was when he was called up stage at the theater in Myrtle Beach where he was a very uncomfortable participant in a performance of Santa baby
His face was as red as the the young ladies costume that performed the song
We never let him forget it😂
