Karen Elaine
Jewett
October 1, 1947 – February 14, 2025
Karen Elaine Jewett, 77, passed away peacefully on February 14, 2025, in Lakeland, FL. She was born on October 1, 1947, in Philadelphia, PA, and was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Karen was married to the love of her life, William Henry Jewett Jr., for 49 wonderful years until his passing in 2012. Together, they built a beautiful life and a loving family. She was a proud mother to three sons, Brian Jewett, William Jewett III, and Scott Jewett. She was preceded in death by her son Brian and is survived by her sons William Jewett III and Scott Jewett. Karen was also a cherished grandmother to Samantha, Dalton, Valentina, Sebastian, Noelle, and Alexis, who brought her immense joy.
She is survived by her beloved sisters, Marlene Cronin and Bonnie Nagel, as well as her sisters-in-law, Lisa Montano and Martha Lombardo, and brothers-in-law, George Jewett and John Jewett. Karen treasured her family deeply and found happiness in every moment spent with them.
In 1984, Karen and her family relocated from Philadelphia to Lantana, FL. After moving to Florida, she managed a country club and worked in a beauty supply store, drawing on her experience as a hairdresser. She had a passion for making others feel welcome and cared for, whether through her work or her warm and generous spirit.
She found great joy cruising the open seas with her husband Bill, making cherished memories together. She also had a love for playing the slot machines, always embracing the fun and excitement of the game—even in her final days.
In 2019, she moved to Lakeland, FL, where she lived with her sister Marlene and enjoyed the company of loved ones. She also loved to sneak away and spend time with Lisa and John in Coral Springs, Scott in Tennessee and Billy in Texas, cherishing those special moments together.
