Judith “Judy” Ann Morris
A loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, aunt, and dear friend passed away on January 10th, 2024, at the age of 86. Judy was born in Detroit, Michigan to Willmer and Dorothy Foor. She moved from Detroit to Florida where she spent most of her life.
Judy graduated from the University of Tampa with a bachelor’s degree in education. She retired from teaching with the Polk Conty School District. She loved traveling, reading and spending time with her friends and family. Judy was a member of Stonecroft Ministries Women’s Christian Group, the Cypress Lakes Village 19th Holer’s, and the Red Hatters.
Preceded in death by her parents, Willmer and Dorothy Foor, her sister Jean (Bill) Etzler, her first husband James McVeigh, her second husband Donald Morris and her son-in-law Patrick McGhin.
She will be dearly missed by her daughter Kathy McGhin, son Keith (Tracy) McVeigh, son Kevin (Gayle) McVeigh, son Brian (Annie) Morris, and daughter Diane Morris; her beloved grandchildren Garrett and James McGhin, Hunter and Carson McVeigh, Kara (Richard) Chadwick, Mackenzie (Matt) Atkins, Bailey (Caleb) Fussell, Eleanor Barber, Harrison, Marshall and Colleen McVeigh; great grandchildren Ava Jean and Trey Chadwick, Henry and Colt Atkins and niece Melanie (John) Rockwell.
A Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, January 27th at 1:30 PM, Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, Florida. A reception will directly follow.
