Mr. Jose Luis Murillo Perez, 85, passed away on Monday, August 28, 2023 in Lakeland. Jose was born in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico to parents Gabriel and Eulalie (Perez) Murillo on May 8, 1938. In 1955, he enlisted and served in the United States Army. Jose is survived by his wife, Minerva; children Marinela Murillo, Wanda Barrett, David Murillo and Elvira Murillo; 16 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Visitation will be held Thursday, August 31, 2023 from 9:30AM - 10:30AM, with service to immediately follow at 10:30AM at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. Jose will be laid to rest with military honors same day at 2:00 PM at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell.
