Jorge Comas, 68, passed away on Sunday, May 28, 2023. Jorge was born in Mayaguez, Puerto Rico on September 13, 1954 to parents Jorge and Aida. He married the love of his life Nilda on December 18, 1973. In 1991, Jorge and his family moved to Virginia, then to Polk County in 2010. Jorge worked as a federal employee for the Department of Agriculture prior to retiring. He was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church in Lakeland. He loved music and the ocean, traveling, watching war movies, and watching for the weather. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren. Jorge his preceded in death by his parents Jorge and Aida. He is survived by his wife of almost 50 years, Nilda; Son Jorge Comas; Daughters Carolina Gayzik and Stephanie Cusano; Brother Rodney Comas; Sister Aileen Cruz; and grandchildren Addison, Logan, Isabel, Henry, Emilia, and Nolan.

A funeral mass will be held on Thursday, June 1, 2023 at St. Anthony's Catholic Church at 10:00 AM.
