John W. Vaclav, 84, died December 24, 2019. He was born in Chicago, IL on November 15th to the late John and Helen Vaclav. John worked as the lead agent at Eastern Airlines for 38 years. He was the President of IAM, and enjoyed bicycling, boating, flying airplanes, and spending time with family. He is a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. John is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Dolores; He is survived by children, John (Kim) R. Vaclav, Debra (Jack) Higginbotham, Michael W. Vaclav; grandchildren John, Stephen, Amy, Jack and Kristy; great grandchildren Kalei, Ella, and Ava. A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 2, 2020, from 7:00-8:00 PM at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, January 3, 2020 at 1:00 PM at St. Joseph's Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Serenity Gardens.
