Jo Marie Garrett, age 90, passed away peacefully on May 9, 2025, at her home in New Port Richey, Florida. Born on August 31, 1934, in Rose Hill, Virginia, Jo Marie was the beloved daughter of Roy Olin and Ressie Osborne.

Jo Marie shared a devoted and loving marriage with her husband, George Garrett, for 64 wonderful years. Together, they made a beautiful life, spending 25 of those years as Snow Birds, enjoying their time between Kentucky and Mulberry, Florida.

A dedicated professional, Jo Marie retired from a fulfilling career in banking in Indiana after approximately 30 years of service. Her warm personality and work ethic touched many throughout her career and community.

In her later years, Jo Marie made her home at Discovery Village in New Port Richey, where she spent the last four years of her life surrounded by a caring community.

Jo Marie is survived by her loving children: daughter Jennie Sorrell, sons George D. Garrett Jr., James Garrett, and Tim Garrett. She was a proud grandmother to eight grandchildren and a joyful great-grandmother to nine great-grandchildren.

Her legacy of love, strength, and grace will live on through her family and all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

A visitation will be held in her honor Wednesday, June 11, 2025, from 11:00 AM till Noon at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel followed by a brief graveside service at Oak Hill Burial Park.
