Jerry W. Taylor

Lakeland – Jerry W. Taylor, 90, passed away May 14, 2025.

Mr. Taylor was born in Lakeland, Florida on December 17, 1934, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He served his country in the U.S. Army – 82nd Airborne. Following his service, his career span over 30 years with the Railroad where he was a Foreman. Jerry enjoyed the outdoors where he hunted, fished and admired nature. He also enjoyed flying, and owned several planes over the years.

Mr. Taylor was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Ann Taylor; son, Rodney A. Taylor; brother Ronnie Dean; and his granddaughter, Jordan. He is survived by his children, Butch (Laura) Taylor and Trish Brewer; daughter in law, Deanne Taylor; sister, Pam Faith Taylor; grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Aaron, Maegan, Madison, Beth and Heather; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.

Graveside services with military honors will be conducted Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 10 am at Oak Hill Burial Park.
