Lister, Jerry Earl, 75 of Lakeland passed from this life into eternal glory on Wednesday, July 31, 2024. Born in Plant City to the late Mr. and Mrs. Jackson Charles Lister, he was one of five children. Jerry remained a Florida resident throughout his life, settling in Lakeland. Over fifty years ago, he married the love of his life, Donna Paiva Lister. Together they had two children; Kimberly and Timothy.

Jerry worked hard for his family, ensuring their provisions, both physical and spiritual. He was a superintendent for IMC Phosphate until he retired. As a Christian, he worshiped and served through Covenant Presbyterian, Lakeland. To break the monotony of life, Jerry found relaxation in two hobbies, fishing and golf. He loved spending time on the water, casting a line with his wife. Golf was another past-time he enjoyed, playing for the fun of the game. Although these elements made many happy memories, those most relished was time with his three granddaughters, RaeLynn, Esther and Ivey. The times they shared will be cherished in their hearts forever.

Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Jackson and Kathleen Lister; brother, Wayne Lister and daughter, Miss. Kimberly Lister. He is lovingly survived and dearly missed by his wife, Donna Lister; son, Timothy Lister; granddaughters, RaeLynn, Esther, Ivey Lister and sisters, Janice Jones, Rhonda Giono, Brenda Attaway.

The family requests in Lieu of flowers, donations be made in Memory of Jerry to Covenant Presbyterian Church Building Fund, 210 Poppell Dr, Lakeland, FL 33813. A funeral service to honor the life of Jerry will be held on Thursday, August 8, 2024 at 11:00 AM with a visiting hour beginning at 10:00 AM.
