Jefferson Owen Brock Jr., 88, of Lakeland, Florida passed on Tuesday, July 23, surrounded by loving family. Fondly known as Jeff he was born January 16, 1936, to Sydney and Jefferson Owen Brock Sr. in Bartow and was a lifelong resident of Florida.

Education and faith were important to Jeff so after graduating from Bartow High School he went on to Olivet Nazarene College and received his bachelor's in theology in 1960 and later his master's degree from University of South Florida in education. He attended and contributed greatly to the Highland Park Church of Nazarene.

Jeff married his forever partner Elaine Arthur on January 22, 1956. They built a family out of faith and love with their three children Joel, Becky and Beth. Their legacy continues in their numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His commitment to his wife didn't end with her passing, they are now reunited in paradise.

Jeff is preceded in death by his wife Elaine A Brock; parents Sydney Henderson and Jefferson Brock Sr.; granddaughter Andi Alford, and siblings Nancy Pierson, Bob Brock, and Benny Brock. He is survived by his children Joel (Valaree) Brock, Becky Cockroft, Beth (Dave) Alford; sister Virginia Schuck; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

A memorial service at Gentry-Morrison Southside Chapel will be held Saturday, July 27, at 11:00 AM.
