James Willard Ogle Sr.'s Obituary
James W Ogle Sr. (Jim) 78 of Lakeland, Fl. stepped into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ on October 25, 2023. He was born to Elbert & Vera Ogle on July 9, 1945 in Sevierville, TN. The family moved to Pahokee, Florida when he was three years old where he spent most of his young life. He accepted Jesus as his Savior at Glades Baptist Church in August 1964. He married his sweetheart of 58 years in March of 1965 She was his faithful and loving wife. They had two wonderful sons James Jr. ((Jimmy) and Jesse Lee. Life was good and easygoing in that small town. Jim faithfully served the Lord at the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church in Belle Glade, Florida before he felt the need to further his Christian education. He graduated from Spurgeon Baptist College, Lakeland , FL in 1982 and since that time has faithfully served in many situations, as song leader, deacon, Sunday School teacher, Youth Pastor and Pastor but the greatest contribution to this weary world is two wonderful sons and daughters-in-law who love and serve the Lord wherever they are and a host of grandchildren & great grandchildren following in the steps of the Lord. Children are a heritage of the Lord!
He was a quiet man with a quick sense of humor. He had a great love for the Great Smoky Mountains where we spent most vacations creating precious memories. He loved to fish with his sons and enjoyed his family very much. He will be missed by those who took the time to know him.
His life verse was Philippians 4:13
I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
