James Elmore Nance
Lakeland – James Elmore Nance, 85, passed away June 30, 2014 from complications of pneumonia.
James was born February 13, 1929 in Lakeland to Fred and Rosie Nance. He graduated from Lakeland High School and served in the U.S. Army during WWII. James shared ownership of Nance Grocery, and worked many years at Tenoroc Mine and Piper.
He was preceded in death by his son, Dale Lynn Nance; his parents; sister, Doris Nance Burch; brothers, Horace A. Nance and Clifton G. Nance. He is survived by his children, James Scott Nance, Bruce C. Nance and Jeffery D. Nance; brother, Terry E. Nance; sister, Ann Nance Kneeland; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.
Graveside services with Military Honors will be conducted Thurs. July 24th at 11 am at Florida National Cemetery, 6502 SW 102nd Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513
