Jimmy Rangel, age 54, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away peacefully on July 7, 2026.

Born in Brownsville, Texas, to Domingo and Estela Rangel, Jimmy moved to Florida in 1988, where he built a life centered on family, friendship, and the people he loved.

Jimmy had a passion for the outdoors and especially enjoyed fishing with his brothers and family. He also loved playing softball, bowling, and archery. A devoted football fan, he never missed an opportunity to cheer on his beloved Dallas Cowboys. Jimmy was also a devoted cat lover, and his gentle heart and affection for animals reflected the kindness he showed to everyone around him.

Known for his warm smile, generous spirit, and sense of humor, Jimmy was an amazing friend to everyone who had the privilege of knowing him. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, offer encouragement, or share a laugh. His love for his family and friends was unwavering, and the memories he created with them will be treasured forever.

Jimmy is survived by his loving parents, Domingo and Estela Rangel; his treasured children, Amanda Rangel and Jimmy Rangel Jr.; his beloved siblings, Blanca Rangel, Elsa Martinez (Moises), Alma Escobedo, Domingo Rangel (Lisa), Ernesto Rangel (Tina), Estela Rangel Dimas (Eloy), Deynie Haggins (Patrick), and Erica Rangel; his cherished grandchildren, Joel, Dominic, Luke, and Joy; as well as nine nieces and nine nephews, all of whom will deeply miss his love, laughter, and guidance.

Jimmy's legacy of kindness, generosity, and unconditional love will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. Though he will be deeply missed, his memory will continue to bring comfort and inspiration to his family and friends for years to come.
