J. FAYE KLASSEN, 82

LAKELAND - J. Faye Klassen, passed away August 29, 2015, at Consulate Nursing Home in Lakeland, FL. She was born in Raydon, OK on September 8, 1932, to James and Lily (Gowers) Gillenwater. She and her husband, Bob would have celebrated their 68th wedding anniversary on September 15, 2015. She is also survived by daughter and son-in-law, Darlinda and Ken Hay, of Newburgh, IN; son and daughter-in-law, Bob and Connie of Evansville, IN; five grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; and one sister, Mabel Fletcher of Vallejo, CA. She and Bob owned Custom Engineering in Evansville, IN, until 1988. They moved to Lakeland, FL full time in 1998. In Evansville and Santa Claus, IN Faye owned a ceramic shop and made beautiful pieces to be treasured by families. She and Bob enjoyed playing golf, RVing and taking many trips seeing the world. Mrs. Klassen was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Don in March 2015; a grandson, Christopher in 2008; two sisters, Laverne Johnson of Astoria, Oregon and Betty Tarantino of New York City. A memorial service will be at 11am on Friday September 25, 2015, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland, FL 33810.
