Hildegard Stanton, 95 of Lakeland passed away on Monday, January 13, 2025 at home with her family at her side. Hildegard was born in Germany during a time of unrest. She was able to find passage to America through the means of Ellis Island. A new life was formed and generations formed by her efforts alone.

Through the years, she married and raised a family, instilling hard work ethics and love. She was married her devoted husband, Gordon Stanton in the 1950's. Together they established a local favorite, Mr. Donut. Many aspects of her life forged her legacy and will continue through her family and generations to come. Hildegard is preceded in death by much of her family, to include, her husband, Gordon Stanton; and son, Anthony L. Stanton.

Survivors include, daughter-in-law, Christina Kersey (Robert); grandsons, Robert Erwin Decker, Anthony G. Stanton; granddaughter, Krysta Robertson (Dakota) and three great grandchildren. A graveside service will be held to honor the life and legacy of Hildegard on Saturday, January 25, 2025 at 10:00am in Lakeland Memorial Gardens, 2125 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Everyone who knew and loved Hildegard is welcome to attend.
