Herman Whitt, 92 of Lakeland passed away on Monday, June 7, 2021, at his home. Herman was born on October 28, 1928, in Salyersville, KY to Samuel and Della Whitt. Herman served in the United States Army as a Medic on the Battlefield earning the Bronze Star for carrying men to safety under fire from the enemy. He retired from Texan Eastern as a Propane Operator. Herman is survived by his wife of 68 years Wanda Whitt, a son Keith Whitt (Teresa) and daughter Sharon Halsey (Michael), 5 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren and his twin sister Hazel Howes.
