Henry E. Todd, a resident of Polk County, passed away on June 26th 2024. He was the son of M.H. Todd and Ruth Todd, and was born in Laurens County, SC on October 31, 1935. He was born into a hard working family and began working at a sawmill at age 14. After graduating High School, Henry worked his way through school at Georgia Tech in Atlanta, GA and graduated as an Aeronautical Engineer in 1957. After spending several years in the aeronautical field, he began working at Parke-Davis. There he helped design machines that packaged various hospital medical supplies. Henry worked in the packaging machine industry until the late 70's and then started his own business with his Wife Bessie called BNT Company. As an international export import business it gave them the ability to travel the world. Henry and his wife continued traveling the world after retiring. Henry continued traveling after the passing of his wife. A couple of the trips in recent times consisted of a South Pacific 30 plus day cruise and an Amazon River cruise. Henry is survived by his 2 sons, Mike and Scott Todd; Daughter in Law, Eva; Grandson, Corey, and his niece/caregiver, Barbara Newman. A Memorial Celebration of Life will be held at Gentry- Morrison Funeral Home Southside Chapel from 6 to 7pm, Friday, July 12th.
