Lindsay Henderson
I met Hayden when he was around 9/10 years old. I met him early on when I started dating Colton, Hayden’s oldest brother. I was so nervouse to meet my boyfriend now husbands little siblings. I fell in love with them instantly! A year or so later I somehow got roped into babysitting Hayden, Addison and Grayson. It was at the time the most stressful summer of my life! It is also where I have some of the best memory’s with the three of them. I will never forget the time I took them to Heritage park in Blacksburg VA. The park had an old train car that kids could play around. Hayden being fearless and adventurous somehow climbed on top of the car and I thought “there is no way Mark and Laura will ever let me watch their kids again!” Thankfully Hayden was able to get down with out any issues and I took them all straight home begging he wouldn’t tell Mark and Laura. I look back on that memory now and just laugh at how scared I was. I also think about brave and carefree Hayden was. Sadly I didn’t know Hayden as well as an adult. But I did get a great glimpse into his kind heart the day he met my daughter Eleanor (his niece). He connected with her instantly. He would carry her around until his arms wanted to fall off. As much as he loved her, she loved him just as much. She talks about him almost every day now and I know she will tell her little brother all about her “big and tall” uncle. Love you so much Hayden! Your memory lives on forever.
