George Lafety Waters, Jr., 92 LAKELAND – Mr. George L. Waters passed away on Wednesday, March 20, 2019. George was born on September 22, 1926 in Sebring, FL to George and Huldie Waters. He was a veteran serving with the US Army. George worked for the Polk County School Board and was a member of Lake Gibson Church of the Nazarene. He is preceded in death by his wife, Sarah Waters. George is survived by his son, George "Buster" Waters; daughters, Linda Carol Fisher and Becky Waters Hawkins; 16 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. A visitation will be held from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2019 at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, 3350 Mall Hill Drive, Lakeland. Funeral service to follow at 2:00 pm in the funeral home chapel. Interment at Serenity Gardens.
