Geneva A. Dansby

Bartow – Geneva A. Dansby, 92, passed away May 3, 2024.

Ms. Dansby was born in Bartow on September 6, 1931, to the late Granger and Juanita Stokes. Outside of her work at Polk General Hospital, she spent much of her time volunteering at her church, Trinity Christian Center. She managed the food bank and homeless program, as well as other programs at the church. She also enjoyed gardening.

Ms. Dansby is survived by her daughter, Marty (Vance) Pickard; sister, Velma Bryan; and granddaughter, Brooke (Landon) Leone.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, May 11, 2024 at 2 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. A gathering a Geneva's home will follow the service.
