FRANKLIN D. HOWELL, 59 Teacher

LAKELAND - Franklin David Howell, age 59, passed away March 22, 2014, due to cancer.

Frank was born in Lakeland on September 28, 1954 to Edward C. Sr. and Flora Howell. He was a graduate of Florida Southern College.

Frank was a loving husband and father who enjoyed spending time outdoors with his sons. He coached at NLLL for 14 years and was known as the "Voice of the Challenger Little League". A long-time teacher at Lake Gibson Middle, Frank truly enjoyed teaching his students.

Frank was predeceased by his parents, his brother, Edward C. Jr. and his daughter, Vickie. He is survived by his wife, Debbie, his sons, Paxton (Madonna), Payton and sister, Aurora Howell.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 29th at Gibsonia Baptist Church at 5440 US 98 North in Lakeland at 10:00am.
