Frances Irene Roddy, 74, passed away at her home in Lakeland on Saturday, February 25, 2023. She was born in Highland Park, Michigan to parents Victor and Dorothy (Morse) Bond on October 24, 1948. She graduated from Berkley High School in Michigan and married Gerald L. Roddy, Jr. on June 20, 1970. She was a member of St. Anthony's Catholic Church. Frances is preceded in death by her parents, brother Jerome Bond, and infant sister Michele. She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Gerald; children Gerald Roddy III, Dawn Millman (Jason), Patrick Roddy II(Bonnie), Mary Roddy (William Shilkett), and Susan Gocher (Ed); brothers Donald Bond, Frederick Bond, and Phillip Bond (Anna); sisters Julie Lyoness (Jeffrey) and Ellen Rodriguez (George); sister in law Patricia Bond; grandchildren Jacob Millman, Gabriel Millman, Emma Roddy, Noah Roddy, Charlotte Roddy Shilkett, Adam Gocher and Tyler Gocher (Britni); and great granddaughter Savannah Gocher. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2023 from 4:00-8:00 PM at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel 3350 Mall Hill Dr A funeral mass will take place the following day on Friday, March 3, 2023 at 10:30 AM at St. Anthony's Catholic Church, 820 Marcum Road.
