Frances Mary Cullen

Frances Mary Cullen, 77, of Lakeland, FL passed November 2nd, 2026.

Frances was born in Coolock, Dublin and remained a “fighting Irish” as she moved to Florida in 1978.

Here in Florida… she loved playing bingo and darts, hosting family gatherings for Thanksgivings, tending to her garden and adoring flowers and plants, making orange cake and halloween costumes for her grandchildren from scratch, and attending Resurrection Catholic Church as a parishioner -- all alongside her loving husband, Bill Cullen.

Frances, a double-lung transplant patient, continued to fight to the very end with the love of her family, the assistance and perseverance of the doctors and nurses at UF Shands, and the grace of God.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Cullen, their four sons Daragh {Valerie}, Liam, Eoghan {Stephanie}, and Eamonn {Melissa}, their grandchildren Alannah Moyer { Trevor Moyer}, Padraig, Oisin, Emma, Fionnula, Aoife, Marissa, Niamh, Aoibheann, Deaglan, and Caoimhe, and their great-grandson, Rowan.

She is also survived by a large extended family, including her brothers and sisters in Ireland: Dan, Willie, Evelyn, Maureen, and Carmel. 

A memorial viewing for Frances Cullen will be held at Gentry Morrison on Monday, November 9th from 5 - 7 PM and a funeral service will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church on Tuesday, November 10th at 11 am.
