Frances Velma Bryant passed away at the age of 103 in Lakeland on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Frances was born on June 1, 1920, in Towns, Georgia to parents Wyley George and Clara Bell (Wooten) Sears. She married James Kirby Bryant in 1946 and raised their family in Lakeland. They were happily married for 69 years when James passed away in 2014. Frances lived a beautiful life full of long-lasting memories that will be forever remembered and cherished by many family and friends who love and will miss her dearly. She is survived by sons James V. (Elaine) Bryant and John E. (Daisy) Bryant; Grandchildren Sandra Rash, John Bryant, Paul Bryant, Paige Divers, and Brian Alford; and great-grandchildren Morgan Rash, Ryan Rash, Kendall Alford, Garrett Divers, and Clay Alford.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 28, 2023 from 10-11:00 AM, with funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Frances will be laid to rest alongside her late husband at Socrum Cemetery following funeral services.
