Felipa Sauceda Mejia, 81 Lakeland – Felipa Sauceda Mejia widow of Alberto Mejia passed away on Monday, July 16, 2018. She was born in Matamores, Mexico on May 26, 1937. Felipa lived most of her life in Brownsville, TX and moved to Florida in 1980. Felipa is preceded in death by her husband Alberto Mejia, Sr., son, Alberto Mejia, Jr. and wife, Nereida and stepson Juan Antonio Mejia. She is survived by her 9 children, Maria Santiago (Dionicio), Estella Turner (Charles), Felipa Acosta (Jose), Rosalinda Aviles (Adrian), Dora Alicia (Jose Braulio Montoya), Yolanda Ramos, Jose Manuel Mejia, Jose Patricio Mejia (Rebeca), Jose Angel Mejia; 37 grandchildren, 64 great grandchildren, 6 great great grandchildren, 3 brothers and 6 sisters. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home 3350 Mall Hill Drive Lakeland. Funeral service will be conducted at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 19th at Together Church 6725 N. Socrum Loop Road Lakeland. Burial will follow at Socrum Cemetery.
