Obituary

Ertelle Marie "Tillie" Ingram,89, passed away peacefully at 9:30 pm Sunday, December 24,2023, with family present after a day filled with visits and phone calls with family. She was born March 11,1934, in Exeter, Maine, a daughter of the late Paul and Erma (Buswell) Stevens. She moved to Florida in 1965, where she worked hard as a bookkeeper and raised her family until she retired in 1991. Upon retirement, she and her late husband Thurston "Bob" Ingram resided in West Virginia for 10 years before returning to Florida. Tillie will always be remembered not only for her being the sweetest person that you ever met but also remembered for her quick wit, amazing sense of humor, her love for music, football, and family. All of which she enjoyed on her last day. Tillie was an inspiration to all who knew her. Faced with many challenges in life and with her health, her strong faith in the Lord got her through all of her trials. When faced with another medical procedure, she would simply say, "I'm off to my next adventure." She was a true fighter and never gave up, always had a positive attitude. She was definitely the glue that held her huge family together. She was a mother of six children, Wanda and her husband Cliff Hester, Richard Williams, Linda and her husband Roger Torbert, Pamela and her husband Danny Adams who proceeded her, Diana Buzzella proceeded her and is survived by her husband Richard "Rick" Buzzella, Brenda and her husband Robert "Bob" Wayne. She is grandma/mimi to 17 children (2 of which proceeded her), a great grandma/ gigi to 35 children, and a great, great gramma to 5 children. She is survived by her sister Esther Buck of Corinna, Maine, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by three brothers, Lloyd A. Stevens, Neil B. Stevens, and Roger L. Stevens. Visitation and funeral will be held at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home 3350 Mall Hill Dr. Lakeland, Florida 33810 on January 5, 2024. The visitation from 1-2 pm followed by the funeral, which will be officiated by Pastor Andy Ritchie from St. Paul Lutheran Church.
