I've been privileged to work with Ed on the Florida Southern College National Alumni Board Association which he helped create. His heart was with the Lord, his family and not far behind, Florida Southern College.
Ed's perseverance, without exception and willing to listen well carried him very far in the business world. A brilliant mind and wonderful with all walks of life.
My prayers are with his family.

Few people have touched my life as meaningfully as Ed Sr. Ed was such a visionary…he truly believed passionately in any project that he could foresee…and he was able to convince others to believe and make that project a success. He was a motivator, a statesman and a friend. But most of all, Ed Sr. was always a genuinely caring man who respected people regardless of their status, income, or educational level. If being a gentleman means putting more into the world than taking out of it, then Ed was the poster child. Now more than ever, we need more people of character like him. He will be missed. I had the great privilege of knowing Ed through my Aunt, Emma Agnew, who worked for him for over 25 years. He was always so full of joy and wisdom every time I saw him. Many Blessings to the family. Mr McMullen was a great friend. He and I talked about family and how much we helped each other at the end of our conversations. He always made me laugh and told me how happy he was in life. I talked with him a few months ago and he was looking forward to seeing me in Florida. I will miss my friend, but he left me with many wonderful memories. Charles Brown
