DOUGLAS WESTERLUND, 74 LAKELAND Mr. Douglas Westerlund, 74, passed away Friday, October 10, 2014, in Lakeland due to cancer. He was born in Two Harbors, Minnesota, to John and Dolly Westerlund on June 8, 1940. Mr. Westerlund served his country in the United States Navy. Douglas was a member of the Huntington Hills Golf and Country Club. He taught line dancing for many years around Polk County. Survivors include his wife, Alice Westerlund; son, John (Terri) Westerlund; daughters, Kristin (Harry) Anderson and Sandra (Jimmy) Harrell; a brother, Johnny (Jo) Western; a sister, Brenda Goodman; 6 grandchildren, Brandi (Brian) Layton, Jesse (Kristen) Harrell, Dustin Harrell, Nathaniel Anderson, Nicholas Anderson and Victoria Anderson. There will be a visitation on Sunday, October 26, 2014, from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home at Serenity Gardens (3350 Mall Hill Drive). Memorial Services will follow at 2:00 PM.
