Dorothy Higgins, 74, of Lakeland, passed away on July 31, 2023.

She was born in Granite City, Illinois to Earl and Veda Bolin on November 29, 1948 and graduated from Madison High School. Dorothy married Larry Higgins on March 9, 1968 in Granite City. She worked as a Photo Technician at Wal Mart for 22 years. Dorothy attended Gibsonia Baptist Church where she served in the children's ministry.

Dorothy is survived by her husband Larry, daughter Jennifer (Dan), son Stephen (Becky), sister Donna, grandchildren Grace, Nathaniel, and Matthew, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be Wednesday August 2nd from 6:00PM to 8:00PM at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Serenity Gardens Chapel, 3350 Mall Hill Dr.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday August 3rd, 10:00AM at Gibsonia Baptist Church with Pastor Mark Goheen officiating. Interment will follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, FL.
