Donald (Don) D. French entered into his heavenly reward September 3rd in the early morning hours. He was born September 22, 1941 in Branford, Florida. He was preceded in death by parents- Lois and John French, brother- Jerral French and his son Chad Hutton. He is survived by his wife Janelle Thomas French, his brother Tim French, his son Derrick French. He leaves behind several grandchildren to cherish their memories of their grandfather.

He graduated from Lakeland High School. He was formally employed by the Polk County Sheriff’s Department and spent the majority of his years employed in the family business French’s Transmission of Lakeland.

Don was musically talented singing in a Southern Gospel Quartet “The Celestials.” He sang in the church choir and loved listening to Southern Gospel Music.

He loved car racing, classic car shows, hunting and fishing. He loved life, people and intense conversations with his friends and anyone who crossed his path. Don will be remembered as a true Southern gentleman full of Southern charm.

A celebration of life will be Friday, September 11th at City on A Hill Church 1942 West Memorial Boulevard, Lakeland, Florida at 6:00 p.m. Visitation with the family will be 5:00-6:00 in the Sanctuary.
