Donald James (Jim) Amick III With the deepest sorrow, we share that Jim Amick, age 59, our most beloved father, son, brother, and friend passed away suddenly on Friday, March 28, 2024. Jim was born to Judy and Donald James Amick II and moved to Lakeland, FL in 1979. He graduated from Kathleen High School in 1982 and Florida Southern College in 1986. Jim worked at Publix as an Information Systems Analyst for 25 years. He was the proud father to two daughters, Laura & Katie, whom he enjoyed coaching their soccer teams and supporting the Lakeland High School band. Jim loved spending time with his family and was quick to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. He enjoyed watching football, working on antique cars, attending car shows, and looking for the best deals at local auctions and flea markets. Jim is survived by his daughter, Katie (Andrew) Pease of Charlotte, NC, mother, Judy Amick of Lakeland, FL, sister, Kathy Amick of Lakeland, FL, and aunts, cousins, and friends.
