Don Turner Lakeland – Don Turner, 81, passed away Dec. 1, 2018. Mr. Turner was born in Metter, GA on Mar. 4, 1937. He served in the U.S. Marines, and was a member of the American Legion. He worked for Crown Cork & Seal for over 30 years prior to his retirement. His greatest joy was spending time with his family. Mr. Turner is survived by his wife of over 59 years, Betty Turner; his children, Tim (Cindy) Turner, Janine (Luke) Slocumb and Lisa (Charlie) Paul; sister, Donnie Jackson; grandchildren, Ben, David, Dillon, Candace, Cortney, Kayli, Logan, Lindsay and Danielle; 10 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his grandson, C.J. Visitation will be Fri. from 10-11 am at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Rd. Lakeland. Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the funeral home, with the interment to follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
