On November 1, 1953, Diane married the love of her life, E.T. “Ted” Locke. Together, they shared 61 wonderful years of marriage until his passing in 2014. Their life together was filled with love, family, faith, and countless cherished memories.
Diane was a godly woman whose faith was an important part of her life. She was a faithful and beloved member of Bethel Baptist Church, where she found joy in her church family and fellowship.
Diane was also one of the founders of the Lakeland Ski Team, an organization that remains active and beloved in the community more than seven decades later. Her involvement helped establish a tradition that continues to bring people together to this day.
In addition to her beloved husband, Ted, Diane was preceded in death by her son, Tim Locke, and her brother, Jeff Thompson.
She leaves behind to cherish her memory her son, Dale Locke and his wife, Paula; four grandchildren: Dallas, Dalton, Dusty, and Kendall; seven great-grandchildren: Ryleigh, Abby, Landrie, Embry, Silas, Brynlee, and Raelynn; and her sister-in-law, Judy (Ken) Bates. She will also be lovingly remembered by extended family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing her.
Diane's kind heart, unwavering faith, and love for her family and others will be deeply missed. Her legacy of love will continue through the many lives she touched.
