David Lynn Young, 75, of Bartow, Florida, was called to his home in Heaven on June 14, 2026. Dave was born in Plant City, Florida, on June 29, 1950. 

Dave served as Spokesman and New Vehicle Sales Manager of Bartow Ford for over 30 years. Dave won the coveted Silver Bullet Award from the Ford Motor Company for his mellifluous voice for his live radio commercials.

Dave is survived by his loving wife, Virginia “Ginger” Irene Young; his sons, David Young (Marsha), Rob Young (Alysa) and Joshua Martin; his daughters Melisa (Ken) Martell and Amanda (Joel) Vanderheiden; and 11 grandchildren. Brothers Bob and Steve Young, Sisters Virginia “Gingy” Beery and Katherine Williamson. Dave was preceded in death by son, Jonathan “Jon” Curtiss Martin.

Visitation is scheduled from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM on Friday, June 19, 2026, at Bethel Baptist Church. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church, 3125 W Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, Florida 33810.
