Daniel Spencer Thompson Lakeland - Daniel Spencer Thompson, 39, passed away September 3, 2025.

Daniel was born in Lakeland, Florida on July 7, 1986, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He was a member of Redemption Church - Lakeland where he enjoyed volunteering in various activities. Daniel also enjoyed his work in the lawn care industry, primarily the time he spent visiting with his customers who were more like family.

Outside of work, his greatest joy was spending time with his boys. Whether it was "beach trips" or "family shenanigans," Daniel always enjoyed making those around him laugh. Singing and motorcycles, especially Harleys, were another passion that he shared with his friends and family.

Daniel is survived by his wife whom he wed on October 24, 2024, Colleen Roselynne Brooke Thompson; sons, Danny Wade Thompson and Dawson Wayne Thompson; father, Dan Robert Thompson; mother, Ina Marie (Spencer) Ogden and her husband, George Ogden; sister, Kim Grieves and her husband, Matt Grieves; nephews, Caleb, Timmy and Micah Grieves; former wife, Jill Amanda Orme, and children, Madison, Megan and Joseph Szlezak.

A visitation will be held from 4 - 5:30 pm on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Services for Daniel will follow at 5:30 pm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to lovesurroundsyou.org to support the annual Ride Out of the Darkness Suicide Awareness Ride.
