Daniel Gene Snell, 21, of Lakeland,FL, passed away on December 1, 2022 in a tragic motorcycle accident, along with his brother Nicholas Snell (19). Daniel was born in 2001 to Daniel and Jennifer (Taake) Snell in St. Louis, MO. Daniel graduated from McKeel Academy in 2020. His first job was at McDonalds while in high school. After graduating high school Daniel began his career as an auto detailer. He then became a warehouse associate for Amazon. Shortly after, Daniel joined the Publix family, initially starting out at the Lakeland Deli plant and then moving over to the Lakeland Dairy plant where he was eventually joined by his brother, Nicholas. Daniel then ventured into a new career opportunity with his dear friend Arod, installing solar panels for Infinity Energy Solutions. Daniel was very passionate about cars and motorcycles. He loved to just get out and drive, whether that was in his dream car he had worked so hard for or on his motorcycle. He also loved gaming and hanging out with his friends. Daniel was known and loved for his quick wit and humor. He had a grin that made it impossible to say no to him and just had a way to make others smile, even when they didn't feel like it. He was always there for people when they needed help. Daniel was preceded in death by his grandmother, Shirley Turner "Granny", great-uncle, Roger Taake, great-grandmother, Elsie Baker, and great-great-grandmother Grace Sexton "Big Granny". Daniel is survived by his parents, Daniel and Jennifer Snell and his brother, Troy Snell. He is also survived by his grandparents Mark and Cheryl Snell & Gene and Shirley Taake, aunts and uncles, Emily and Brian Derry, Mark "Andrew" and Taryn Snell, Dana Snell, Sara Snell. Daniel left behind many other loving friends, family, and co-workers. A viewing will be held at Gentry Morrison - Serenity Gardens Chapel on Thursday, December 15, 2022 from 6pm-9pm. A celebration of life service is also expected to be held January 14, 2023 with more details to follow.
