Constance "Connie" Michael, 94 of Lakeland, passed peacefully on January 22, 2024. She was born to the late Richard and Constance Hoblitzell, in Charlotte, North Carolina. After high school, Connie furthered her education at Marietta College and later, the University of South Florida where she earned her Master's Degree. Her love of books guided her career as a Librarian at Lakeland High School. In addition to reading, she loved to travel especially with her travel buddy, Hazel Haley. She was of the Christian faith and a parishioner of All Saints Episcopal Church for over sixty years. In addition to her parents, Connie is preceded in death by her husband, John B. Michael. She was a loving mother to Olinda M. Sykes (David); grandsons, Robert and Benjamin (Margie) and two great-grandsons, all of which survive her. A memorial service to honor and celebrate the life of Connie will be held at All Saints Episcopal at a later date. Her legacy will continue to bloom in all the lives she encountered and touched.
