Clara Jeanette Castleberry, 85 of Lakeland passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, May 27. Clara was born in Grady County, GA to the late Mr. Hugh and Mrs. Annie Kelley. Clara was a homemaker and loved to decorate, and redecorate her home, and those of others as well. She admired flowers and crafting. Clara found great enjoyment in yard sales with her husband, leaving the family with many fond memories and funny stories. With all the memories shared, her family knew her to have a spirit for helping others any chance possible, a protective nature and straight forward approach to life. Clara is preceded in death by her husband, Jessie Lamar Castleberry; siblings, Bernard Kelley, Gerald Kelley, Laverne Cox, and son, Jeff Williams. She is survived by her children, Lisa Moncrief (Audi), Brett Williams (Carol), Tami Todd (Brad); grandchildren, Frank "Bubba" Moody (Heather), Cole Moncrief, Jessica Sirmans (Steven), Alan Williams, Miranda Taylor (Chris), Jesse Williams (Brittany), Megan Williams, Kellie Dunn (Matt), Jennifer Reid (Chance), Lyndsey Bechard (Michael) and 18 great-grandchildren. The family of Clara will receive family and friends for a visitation hour on Thursday, June 1, 2023 from 10:30am – 11:30am at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel. A committal service will be held at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL on the same day at 1:30 pm.
