Charles S. Taylor, age 78, passed away on Saturday, February 9, 2019, at Magnolia Estates Nursing Home in Lafayette, Louisiana. He was born on May 23, 1940, in Lakeland, Florida to William Fay Taylor and Flora Rea Blocker.
Charles will always be remembered as a great chef with a passion for mastering the art of the culinary world. He had the opportunity to cook for Jim Varney and the cast while filming the movie Ernest Saves Christmas in Orlando, Florida. He also cooked for David Soul and the cast while filming for the movie In the Line of Duty: The FBI Murders in Tampa, Florida.
He is survived by the following:
Sisters, Susan Thompson of Lakeland, Florida and Sandy Currie of DeFuniak Springs, Florida.
Brothers, William F. (Hatsuko) Taylor Jr. of Tampa, Florida and Terry (Jennifer) Inlow of Clinton, Utah.
Aunt, Katherine Ciszek of Winter Haven, Florida.
Nieces, Cindy Carpenter, Debbie Frye, and Ginger Wiggins all of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Stacey Forsythe of New Orleans, Louisiana; Marcy Forsythe of St. Augustine, Florida; Kayci Cooley of Las Vegas, Nevada; Penny Timm of Niceville, Florida; Rebecca Inlow Young of West Point, Utah; and Rachel Inlow Frazier of Roy, Utah.
Nephews, Robin Carpenter of Winston-Salem, North Carolina; Roy Thompson of Lakeland Florida; Ryan Thompson of Hawi, Hawaii; Chad Gillis of Defuniak Springs, Florida; Rodney Forsythe of Winnabow, North Carolina; and Ben Inlow of West Point, Utah.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents and sisters, Betty Jo Marquis and Shirley Bouchard. Charles will be forever remembered by his companion, Delta Alleman, as well as his many nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family and dear friends.
A Viewing will be held on Wednesday, February 20th at 12:00 PM with Services following at 1:00 PM at the Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home (Southside Chapel) in Lakeland, Florida. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
