Obituary

Charles "Charlie" G. Fulmer, 75, of Lakeland went home to be with Jesus on Friday, Dec 7, 2018. Charlie was born in Ithaca, NY to Harry & Irene (Gordon) Fulmer. He was a Navy Veteran. In his early years, he worked on a chicken farm in central NY, where he met his wife, Rose. Later in life, he worked as an electronics repairman. He enjoyed spending his free time repairing electronic equipment, working on and talking on his CB radio (his handles were Ghost Rider and Black Jack), and building stereo systems. He was known for collecting bicycles, repairing them, and giving them to children who did not have a bicycle of their own. He loved music, riding his bicycle around the neighborhood, playing online scrabble and pool, and spending time with his family. He had a green thumb and loved gardening, growing vegetables, and flowers. He will be remembered as a great father, loving husband, and dear friend to many. He and his wife had recently moved to Lakeland from Auburn, NY. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Rose, of Lakeland, his children: Sheila (Richard) Coile of Lakeland, FL, Sherry (James) Holland of Deland, FL, Sebrina Fulmer of Syracuse, NY, Vickey Freelove of Norfolk, VA, Valory (Ralph) Kenney of Rock City Falls, NY, Harold J. (Glecy) Bothwell of Norfolk, VA, David (Debbie) Fain of New Smyrna, FL, 17 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. A Celebration of Life for Charlie will be held at Gentry Morrison Funeral Home, 8850 Mall Hill Dr, Lakeland, FL at 4:00 pm on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2018.
