With deep sorrow, we share the unexpected passing of our beloved Chance Grimes on November 13, 2025. Chance lived with a light and courage that touched everyone around him. He offered kindness freely and was always willing to help anyone in need.

Chance was born in Lakeland, Florida on March 29, 1985, and remained a lifelong resident of the area. He was a dedicated team member at Lakeland Electric where he was a Lakeland Electric Utility Trainer "1CT". Chance had a passion for his work and embraced the brotherhood shared amongst the lineman. Outside of work, Chance was a true outdoorsman. He found joy in hunting, fishing, running his dogs and any outdoor activities. One of his greatest pleasures was watching Journey cheer-and we trust he will continue cheering her on from Heaven.

Chance is survived by his devoted wife, Hope Grimes; his precious daughter, Journey Grimes; his grandparents that raised him, Willie and Stella Grimes; his uncle, Wayne Grimes; and numerous other extended family and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Steve Grimes.

Visitation for Chance will be Saturday, November 22, 2025 from 10-11 am at Together Church, 6725 N. Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, FL 33809. Funeral services will follow at 11 am at the church. Interment will be at Socrum Cemetery.
