Obituary

Carole Harriet Peahota Davis, age 87, entered into the presence of her Lord and Savior on June 17, 2026. Born on May 20, 1939, in Dupont, Pennsylvania to Adam and Mary Peahota, Carole lived a life marked by faith, love, service, and devotion to her family.

Carole's life story was one of purpose and dedication. She attended Valley Forge Bible College, where she met the love of her life, Scott Roger Davis. Their story began with what she described as love at first sight. Both being left-handed, they found themselves seated next to one another at dinner, and from that simple beginning grew a lifelong love story. On September 5, 1959, Carole and Scott were married, beginning a partnership that would span nearly 67 years and touch countless lives through ministry and service.

Together, Scott and Carole faithfully served in ministry as pastor and pastor's wife in several Assembly of God churches throughout New York and Florida. Carole's unwavering support, compassionate heart, and steadfast faith were a source of strength to her husband, their congregations, and everyone they encountered. Her life was a living testimony of Christian love and service.

In addition to her ministry work, Carole devoted many years to nursing as a Licensed Practical Nurse. She especially cherished her years working at Watson Clinic, where she formed meaningful relationships and found fulfillment in caring for others. Her kindness, professionalism, and genuine concern for people left a lasting impression on both patients and coworkers.

Music was one of Carole's great gifts and passions. She faithfully played the piano and organ in church for many years, using her talents to worship and serve the Lord. Her love of music became a treasured part of her family heritage, and she instilled that same appreciation and joy in both of her children.

Carole was also an exceptionally talented seamstress. She lovingly sewed clothing for her children and grandchildren for many years, creating garments that became cherished memories. Even into her later years, she continued doing alteration work for devoted customers, many of whom became dear friends. Her skill, creativity, and attention to detail were evident in every stitch she made.

Above all else, Carole treasured her family and her home. She created a place of warmth, comfort, and belonging where love flourished. Her greatest joy was nurturing those she loved and watching her family grow through the generations.

Carole is survived by her beloved husband, Scott Roger Davis; her children, Timothy Scott Davis and Kimberly Dawn Benson; her grandchildren, Joshua Davis, Chelsea Dye (Eddy), Cheyenne Ross (Brandon), Shelby Benson (Brian Smothers), and Kaia Benson; and her cherished great-grandchildren, Jubilee, Jude, Chloe, Lilly, Gracie, Cammy, Oakley, Steele, Ripley, Rowyn, Melia, and Gianna.

She is also lovingly remembered by her step-grandchildren, Nikki Hughes (Ricky) and Jessica Wildmon (Stephen); her step-great-grandchildren, Lexi, Taylor, Kearstyn, Kaitlyn, Jordan, Cole, Zoey, Ryan, Zera, Alaric, Karson, Kayson, Luna, and Keaton; and by many extended family members, friends, former church members, coworkers, and customers whose lives were enriched by knowing her.

She was preceded in death by her beloved sister, Jean Kartiledes (Mike), two cherished grandchildren, Angel Yates (Roland) and Amanda Mahoney, and her beloved daughter-in-law, Sandi Davis (Timothy).

Carole leaves behind far more than memories; she leaves a beautiful Christian legacy. Through her example, she passed on a deep love for the Lord, a commitment to faith, and the importance of family. Her life reflected God's grace, and her influence will continue through the generations she so lovingly nurtured.

Though she will be deeply missed, her family rejoices in the assurance that she is now at home with her Savior. Her love, faith, music, service, and devotion will forever remain in the hearts of those who were blessed to know her.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." — Matthew 25:23
