My prayers and sympathy for Carla’s family and all of the friends from Bradshaw and Iaeger who grew up with her. Carla and I had a long phone visit recently and we talked about the blessing of growing up in a small town where we felt safe and loved. We shared the Bradshaw UMC and MYF, Girl Scouts, and filling our days with reading Nancy Drew, riding our bikes for miles, swimming at Bartley pool, going to War to dances and cheering for our Bradshaw Hornets and Iaeger Cubs. Carla sang at our wedding and sent me my first Mother’s Day card…We laughed, cried, and argued as friends do, and always loved and supported each other even when separated by distance.
I pray that my friend’s infectious laughter is filling heaven with her joy.
