On May 6, 2023, Brandyn Skylar Gaskins, 30 years old, died unexpectedly in Lakeland, Florida. Brandyn was born on February 18, 1993 in Orlando, Florida. Brandyn is survived by his mother, Melissa Sutton and her husband Bryan of Pennsylvania and Steven Gaskins and Daphne of Lakeland; Uncle, Duane Gaskins and his wife Gloria of Lakeland, his son Gatlyn; and his brothers Noah and Wyatt of Pennsylvania, and many members of his extended family. Brandyn was articulate, brilliant, poetic, and a genuine empath. His Aquarian nature cultivated the enjoyment of scuba diving and boating. Brandyn was happiest while spending time with his son who was the light of his life. Brandyn was a second-degree black belt in Taekwondo by the age of eight. His passion for art was unsurpassed and his creative abilities paved the road to becoming a world class tattoo artist. His following on social media platforms spans the globe. He is loved by many, and the world will be forever changed by his absence. Visitation will be Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 6-8 pm at Gentry Morrison Southside Chapel, 1727 Bartow Road, Lakeland, FL 33801. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, May 17, 2023 at 10 am at King's Church, 730 S. Florida Ave. Lakeland, FL 33801. Interment will be at Oak Hill Burial Park.
