Doster, Bobby Royce Sr., of Lakeland passed away peacefully in the care of Good Shepherd Hospice on Tuesday, October 17, 2023. Bobby was born in Ariton, Alabama to the late Oscar and Zonie Doster and relocated to Lakeland in the 1950's. Bobby loved to fish and hunt but had a great admiration for freshwater fishing, dropping a line any chance he had, hoping to catch a mess of bluegill, specks or other panfish. He worked his career as a brick-mason, leaving his mark of craftsmanship all around the area. Bobby was of the Christian faith and attended Willow Oak Church of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his children, Bobby Doster Jr., Wendy Doster, Marie Harrelson and eleven siblings. Bobby is lovingly survived by his wife of 35 years, Phyllis Thigpin Doster; daughter, Robbin Nash (Chris); sons, Jason Day, John Day; sister, Betty Warren; grandchildren, Wendy Harrelson, Keith Harrelson, Bradly Harrelson, Bobby Doster III, Matthew Love, TJ Love, Tarra Love Gensiejewski , and several great-grandchildren. A funeral service to honor the life of Bobby will be held at 1:00PM on Friday, October 20, 2023, at Gentry-Morrison Funeral Home, Southside Chapel with a visiting hour beginning at 12:00PM. A committal service will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park.
