I just want take a moment to give my heartfelt condolences to the family. I was only around Blake for a short time, but from the very first moment I met him, I felt welcomed. He was always kind, respectful, and had a great sense of humor. He will be fondly remembered, and I feel grateful to have know him, even if only for a short while.

How do you say goodbye to your hero? IDK! My heart is broken but you left us such a great example to live by. Putting The Lord first. Trusting him in everything, the good and the bad. Thank you for it all Blake. Thank you for the Godly leadership and wisdom you blessed us with. 44 yrs of that has left a legacy for us all.
I’ll never forget all the wonderful memories we made with you. I will never forget how good you were to us all. My greatest memory of you is waking up for school and seeing you were already up in the word, and praying before you ever left the house. What better example could you leave others than that! All we can do now is try and live that same example out for our families. Thank you for being such A wonderful father. I love you. I know you are sitting at Jesus feet and he has already said to you, well done my son. You have ran your race. Rest easy now with our Lord and Savior. Until we see each other again papa! Some of my sweetest memories with Papa are our beach trips just him, Mimi, and me. Waking up to the smell of coffee and the beach air drifting in, knowing it was going to be a fun and happy beach day. We’d go fishing, we’d boogie board, and he would help me build big sand castles. Those days felt so simple and so full of love.
They were some of the best parts of my childhood, and I'll carry them with me forever. I'm forever grateful for a Papa who made those beach days some of the happiest memories of my childhood.
