Billie Horace Parrish UTC's Obituary
Billie Horace Parrish, 89, of Lakeland, passed away September 16, 2018. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Linda Parrish.
Born August 30, 1929, in Enterprise Alabama, he was a son of the late Horace and Willie May Parrish.
Mr. Parrish, was a 20 year veteran of the United States Navy, “Seabees”, having served from 1946-1966. He was the recipient of many commendations.
Billie and his family moved to Lakeland in 1976, where he worked in the air-conditioning and refrigeration industry.
In addition to his wife he is survived by 2 sons, Brian Parrish, of Lakeland, and Kevin Parrish and his fiancée, Stacy Smith of Winter Haven. He is also survived by 3 sisters, Eva Harrell, Jeannette (Bill) Johnson, Dianne (Tommy) Baxley, and several nieces and nephews, from Alabama.
A graveside service with military honors will be conducted at 10am on Saturday October 6, 2018 at Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL.
The family asks that in lieu of flowers memorial contributions be made in his memory to the American Heart Association, Fleet Reserve Association Scholarship Fund, or to Paralyzed Veterans.
