Barney C. Blalock, Sr., a devoted father and hardworking man, known for his generous spirit and love of all things mechanical, passed away on July 7, 2025, in Auburndale, Florida. He was 68 years old.

Born on July 16, 1956, in Lyons, Georgia, Barney grew up with a strong work ethic and a passion for hands-on craftsmanship. His career as a service man for Homes of Merit reflected his dedication to helping others and his skill in industrial and mechanical work. Whether repairing equipment or lending a hand to someone in need, Barney approached every task with determination and heart.

Barney had a deep appreciation for motorcycles, cars, guns, knives and all things mechanical. He found joy in working with his hands - tinkering with engines, restoring vehicles or simply spending time immersed in the tools of his trade. His knowledge and enthusiasm were matched only by his willingness to share them with others.

He was a loving father to Barney C. Blalock, Jr., William Layton Waters, and Jessica Fawn Waters. HIs children were a source of pride and purpose throughout his life. He also leaves behind his brother Tony C. Blalock and sister Bonnie (Kathy) Blalock.

Barney was preceded in death by his father, Barney Blalock, and his mother, Rubye Peal Gore. Those who knew him remember Barney as a great friend and steadfast supporter - someone who could always be counted on when it mattered most. His legacy lives on through the lives he touched with kindness, loyalty and an unwavering commitment to those around him.
