Obituary

Armand T. Cotnoir, 78, passed away peacefully on February 16, 2026, in Lakeland. He was born on January 13, 1948, in Woonsocket, Rhode Island.

Armand proudly served his country in the United States Army and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal for his honorable service. His time in the Army reflected his deep sense of duty and patriotism.

For over 50 years, Armand was a talented and successful painting contractor in the Lakeland area. He took immense pride in his work, building not only a respected business but also lasting relationships. Known for his keen eye and artistic touch, he had a unique ability to transform ordinary spaces and everyday items into something special.

He especially loved decorating his home with carefully chosen antiques, placing each treasured piece with thought and love, creating a warm and welcoming space for family and friends. A devoted member of Believers Fellowship, Armand lived his faith daily.

He carried great pride and even greater love for his wife, his children, his family, and his God. He was always ready and willing to help neighbors, friends, and even strangers - and those he met quickly became lifelong friends. His kindness, generosity, and steady presence touched countless lives.

Armand is survived by his loving wife, Barbara Novak; his son, Armand (Kim) Cotnoir Jr.; his daughter, Amanda Johnson; his stepson, Chris Novak; and his cherished grandchildren: Cory, Carley, Cameron, and Callen Cotnoir; Ritchie and Ivey Johnson; and C.J. and Daisie Novak.

He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. A graveside service with military honors will be held at Florida National Cemetery on Friday, February 27, 2026, at 9:00 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Believers Fellowship Food Bank, continuing Armand's legacy of compassion and service to others.
