Anne Kathryn Bachand

Anne Bachand, 93, of Polk City formerly of Dalton MA passed away peacefully at her home on October 25, 2026, surrounded and lovingly cared for by her family.

She was born May 31, 1933, in Oxford MA daughter of Francis and Rene Mahoney.

She leaves behind 2 sisters, Jeanne Gaetani and Julie Price, 7 children: Rick, Steve & Sherry, Sharon, Nancy & Bruce, Jim, John & Tracey, and Bob & Beth. She also leaves 14 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren, and 5 great great-grandchildren, 2 nephews and 4 nieces. Besides her parents she is predeceased by her husband John, two brothers-in-laws, Paul Bachand and Bob Gaetani, two daughters-in law Melody and Lori Bachand, a son in law Rob Dufur and granddaughter Melissa Bachand.

Anne was a graduate of St Lukes School of Nursing in Pittsfield MA and spent her career as a registered nurse retiring from Berkshire Medical Center. In retirement she and her husband spent many years traveling the country in their motorcoach. She loved the outdoors and spent many summers with her family at their camp on Ashmere Lake. She was a fierce competitor at fast track, yahtzee and many card games.

Anne will be greatly missed by her family and many friends. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday October 28th at 2 pm at St Anthony Catholic Church 820 Marcum Rd, Lakeland FL 33809.
